- performance and stability improvements
- New Update Server contacted by the device when fetching a new FW release. Details at: https://help.barix.com/retailplayer/knowledge-base/retailplayer-network-requirements
Fixes
- FIXED: the player kept a second, stalled, connection to some streams, even during playback
- FIXED: Migration of timezone settings from FW older than 5.2 to newer versions that was preventing those "old" devices from setting the timezone from the Portal
- FIXED: HTTP requests were not handled if the server redirected to a different host
- FIXED: Update can be done via WiFi only connection and via wired only connection
Known Limitations / Issues
- Ethernet interface must be kept in DHCP mode to allow Wireless LAN operation
- WLAN interface is not identified by Discovery Tool
- When playing an RTP stream with unsupported audio format the player doesn't behave as expected, it doesn't change to another working channel anymore with the risk of being silent if failover tracks are not uploaded
