How to hard refresh your browser

Table of Contents

Barix software products including devices' firmware and Portal platforms like the RetailPlayer Portal are updated at a regular basis, to add new features, to improve existing ones and to stay up to date with security enhancements that are required by modern web technologies.

it could happen that after an update, the rendering of the web pages of the user interface is affected by caching issues. A typical example is available below:

Although storing pages to the browsers cache makes loading pages faster, it can mean that changes made to the website aren't always visible until you preform a hard refresh. Some of our customers notice that when we make changes to the Portal, they cannot see the changes when they visit the site or even they see what you see above, which leads to think that the application is having issue.

This is because their browsers have cached version. In this situation, you would hard refresh your browser to clear the cache and download the new content. Preforming a hard refresh is easy and the commands vary depending on what browser and operating system you are using
